HMMWV's

It so happened that I found a Revell box of two little hmmwv's the other day, the one with an ambulance and a TOW weapon. I picked out my old models and realized I could paint better than I had then so after assembly I painted all of them in one go. A smooth paintjob and some decals to the ambulance and it was over just as quick as it began.. A little sad consequence with these quick-builds.

New game?

This:

http://www.hawkwargames.com/

I have read a lot on the website and I find the setting, rules and of course the models most interesting, can this be my next project? It will be released next month and I can't wait for the reviews! (Send a book to me and I'll be happy to do it...)
Recently I have dropped all interest in anything fictional, fantasy or otherwise, but this game seems like something that I can picture myself painting.
What do you guys think?

FoF game and the real deal!

Got time for a solo session of Force on Force yesterday, no AAR here, but a picture at least. :) I had to try the new houses..
The scenario was quite simple, the US started in the big house with a balcony, and had to get to the two stashes of chocolate bars, one north, and one by the truck, and then back to load it to the M113 so it can drive deliver chocolate to all the off board rockstars who have the munchies, all the while the insurgents feel the surge as well and won't give up the candy without a fight! Who put the chocolate there? It's still a mystery...

I had way to few insurgents, it was almost a walk in the park for the US. Lesson learned the easy way!

Now to something different, some weeks ago I went outside to get some groceries, and was surprised to meet a marching formation of karoliner, and quite a few modern military vehicles on the town square, back home to get the camera, and got some nice pictures, sadly the marching soldiers had went off, but here are some other nice pics:

Middle eastern building update

I have been playing a few solo games of Force on Force to get a grip around the rules (which are awesome, and best solo rules I've tried yet!). Then I figured that while my flexible design of tiles still is a bit stiff if I want more or less space between buildings, and I would need a few more smaller buildings too. Said and done, more smaller buildings and the other ripped from the base:

I found a nice piece of sand colored cloth from a textile shop to use instead of the tiles.
Another thing, today I heard the sound of horses outside, and behold, Smålands Husar regiment was riding just outside my window!

I't is a nice thing to live in a small town with military history and not to mention some more modern stuff too, I ran into one of these the other day when taking a stroll in the forest. Those beasts are huge!
